Aparthotel Stare Miasto is one of the best located places to stay in Krakow. It is located right in the heart of the old town, one step away from the Main Market Square. All the main attractions can be reached on foot in a few minutes, and the area is full of excellent restaurants and bars.
If you’re traveling around Christmas time, Aparthotel Stare Miasto is a great place to stay, because you are right in the heart of the celebrations. The Krakow Christmas Markets are a 1-minute walk away, as are the street food kiosks, Christmas concerts and the famous nativity scenes. Krakow at this time of year has a truly magical atmosphere!
If you arrive in Krakow with your car it is good to know that the old town is pedestrianized. So, you will need to park it just outside the old town walls. However, the Aparthotel Stare Miasto offers secure private parking at a reasonable price. Parking is about 1 km from the property.

Aparthotel Stare Miasto boasts some of the best apartments in Krakow and combines the privacy of an apartment with the comfort of hotel-style services, such as housekeeping, daily towel change, complimentary toiletries, as well as complimentary tea, milk and coffee.
You can choose between different types of rooms and suites. The smallest and cheapest are the Superior Deluxe Studios, which have a good value for money. They are comfortable modern furnished rooms, with exposed wooden beams, exposed bricks and marble floors. They have a large bathroom with bathtub and a small, well-equipped kitchenette.
Those looking for more comfort should take a look at the beautiful suites, which boast a fine design and a fabulous full size private hot tub, right in the room. You will also have a large living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchenette. These suites also have a Bluetooth sound system, are very spacious and some even have a lovely mezzanine.
For a few extra bucks you could book the Duplex Suite, which is by far the most beautiful, largest and most exclusive suite in the Aparthotel Stare Miasto. This suite has an area of 120 square meters, has super-comfy extra-large bed (2×2 m), designer furniture, a large living room, a separate dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.
It boasts a view of Ulica Bracka, one of the main streets of the old town, which leads straight to the main square. In addition to a large bathroom, you will also have a full-size hot tub and an additional rain shower, located right in the bedroom! In addition, this suite also has a wonderful upright piano that you can play.
Aparthotel Stare Miasto – Cleanliness and Facilities
One of the reasons Aparthotel Stare Miasto is so popular is its cleanliness. The apartments are spotless, the staff do their best to provide clean towels and linen during your stay, as well as to refill the toiletries. The staff came in everyday and made your beds and changed your towels.
The same goes for kitchen essentials: free coffee, milk and tea are provided and restocked during your stay. This is something we haven’t commonly seen elsewhere, and we really appreciate it!
Aparthotel Stare Miasto – Comfort and Staff
The rooms and suites of Aparthotel Stare Miasto are perfect for couples. The smallest room, the Superior Deluxe Studio, measures 23 square meters, enough to comfortably fit two. The room is very nice, there is enough space for luggage and the kitchenette does the job. The Junior Suite duplex also has a living area and offers more space.
The rooms are well soundproofed and quiet, the beds are comfortable and the pillows soft. In summer there is air conditioning, in winter the room is warm and cozy.
The most beautiful rooms are the fabulous suites, ranging from 35 to 120 square meters. These are among the most elegant and comfortable apartments in Krakow and boast super-comfy, oversized beds.
The suites have a fully equipped kitchenette, while the large Duplex Suite offers maximum comfort for those who want to enjoy a nice dinner at home, perhaps with their loved one. In fact it boasts a large fully equipped kitchen, you will have everything you need to cook your meals. The large dining room has a large table for 6! Plus, in the evening you will love to relax in the large living room.
The suites boast a wonderful in-room jacuzzi, which is the cherry on the cake for a stay in Krakow. After a nice day touring the city you can relax in the jacuzzi, enjoying a drink or a glass of good wine and enjoying the soft and warm atmosphere of your suite.
Coming to the staff, we appreciated the 24-hour reception. Arriving in Krakow late in the evening we needed a hotel or apartment with a late reception. Aparthotel Stare Miasto has flexible check-in hours, you can arrive anytime after 3pm, which is great! The reception staff speak good English and Polish, of course. This made the experience smooth. The service wasn’t 5-star hotel, but it was pretty good. On the other hand, even if the Aparthotel Stare Miasto is not a 5-star hotel, quality service is expected given the rates.
Aparthotel Stare Miasto – Value for Money and Considerations
Our opinion on Aparthotel Stare Miasto is very positive! This is in our opinion one of the best places to stay in Krakow. It offers elegant studios and suites with great value for money. The Duplex Suite is fabulous! But we also enjoyed the other stylishly furnished suites, perfectly located one step away from Krakow’s Main Market Square. The nice bar serves a good breakfast, perfect for starting the day.
Aparthotel Stare Miasto is undoubtedly one of the best apartments in the heart of Krakow: you will have privacy, independence and comfort like an apartment, and the services of a good hotel. This means complimentary toiletries, towels changed daily, beds made and cleaned daily, and housekeeping. Also in the surroundings you will have a plethora of excellent restaurants and bars. And if you travel over Christmas or New Year’s Eve you can fully enjoy the magical atmosphere of the old town.
